I just heard of a new soft play in New Malden which is great news, seeing as since Tiny Seeds music moved away and Gymboree went back to Surbiton, there hasn’t been much for little ones in New Malden. I went along to have a try with my three children and they loved it, so we’ll definitely be back for more!
How it began… Bounceagogo started in April this year by husband and wife team Dan & Charlotte. They used to own a project management group together and after they had their son Max, they felt there was a gap in the market for good value play places. Having been to lots of stay and plays they wanted to do something better so they came up with Bounceagogo.

Part of the charm of Bounceagogo (and neither could tell me how the name came about!) is that it’s a bit like being at a friends house – Charlotte kept reminding Dan to stop talking and make the coffees and if you’re on your own they’re really friendly. It’s very relaxed, they pack away after each session so everything is spotless (unlike some of the dusty all year round play areas) and the toys are well looked after and as parents they understand what kids are like. My youngest (almost 2 years) loved the ride on toys – there’s a little up and down track so they can pick up some speed and fly across the room.

When & where?: It’s open Wednesdays and Fridays 9.30am – 11.20am in the Graham Spicer building next to Waitrose in New Maldens (£4.50 for the two hours & £2 for siblings, babies are free) NCT discount – £3 with NCT membership card. It’s been so popular they’re opening a site in Ham soon for Tuesdays.

It’s for children up to pre-school age and they have loads of ride on toys, there’s a big bouncy pirate ship, a small ball pit for toddlers and lots more, Dan is in charge of the coffees and there’s a good selection inexpensive snacks and drinks.

I was so pleased with my new find that I organised a second+ time mum meet up for Wednesday 1st of October 9.30 – 11.20am, if you have or are expecting your 2nd+ child come along and meet some other local parents from New Malden/Surbiton & Kingston. We’ll have a little area put aside and the older ones can play (bring older kids up to 4 years 11 months). Please RSVP with your name, mobile number, name & age of children coming along/due date to nctbeyondcoffee@gmail.com and I’ll see you there!
